Our Foundation team work closely with local kindergartens to ensure children are fully supported in their school transition. We have school tours every Wednesday at 9.30am and at other times by request. We have a number of structured transition sessions in Terms 3 and 4 for the students starting school the following year, as well as information sessions for families. Our Year 6 teachers working closely with local secondary schools to support students to transition smoothly into secondary school. The application process for year 7 places starts in Term 2. Every student automatically receives a place at their zoned government secondary school and on the application form there is a preferences list where families can request a place at a non-zoned school. Each secondary school sets their own additional transition dates, however there is a state-wide date in early December for all new Year 7 students.
