A strong focus on student wellbeing is a feature of our school. We offer a number of programs and initiatives which are run by support staff, wellbeing staff, teachers, other students, and volunteers. While we encourage families to seek support and advice from their GP should there be a significant concern, we are able to offer general wellbeing supports at school. Tier 1 supports are universal and promote positive mental health and wellbeing in all students and help to create an inclusive and supportive school environment.
Tier 2 supports provide early intervention and additional support for cohorts of students who have specific needs or vulnerabilities. These build on the approaches used in Tier 1.
Tier 3 supports are interventions targeted to individuals or small groups of students who are identified as requiring move intensive supports to engage positively in education and these are always developed through the Student Support Group meeting process and with department advice. The wellbeing of our students is vital, and we have an unwavering commitment to ensuring that our students are supported to develop into healthy and happy young people. The programs and initiatives we use are evaluated and updated to ensure that we are catering to the wellbeing needs of our students and community.
